London Luton Airport has been rated highly by 83% of passengers in an independent survey.

The Civil Aviation Authority Passenger Survey revealed that 82.8% of passengers who travelled through London Luton Airport over a 12-month period viewed their experience as good or excellent.

The survey saw 1 in every 1000 people interviewed about their experience, taking into account people travelling across various routes, airlines and dates.

Last month, London Luton Airport revealed that it had its busiest ever July, seeing 1.7 million passengers travel through its doors. This was an increase of 6.7% compared to the same period last year.

Amsterdam was the most popular place for London Luton Airport passengers to visit, while Eastern European destinations Bucharest and Budapest were also extremely popular with holidaymakers.

Alberto Martin, CEO of LLA, said: “I am delighted to see passengers who have used the airport rate their experience as “good” or “excellent”. There’s still more work to do to increase this number further but it’s great to see the benefits of our recently completed transformation are being felt by passengers using the airport.”

London Luton Airport handled 16.6 million passengers in 2018, which was a 5% increase on 2017. Airlines operating from the airport include easyJet, Wizz Air, Ryanair, Tui, EL AL, Blue Air, SunExpress, Iberia (Air Nostrum) and Vueling.
