Record January at Luton Airport

Luton Airport had a record January after serving 1.1 million passengers last month.

In fact, the airport saw an additional 12.9% passengers last mo nth compared to January 2018.

Popular winter break destinations for Luton Airport passengers included Lisbon and Geneva, while all-year-round hotspots Amsterdam and Bucharest continued to be as busy as ever.

In December 2018, Luton Airport unveiled its upgraded terminal. Now, passengers can enjoy an additional 3,000 seats, as well as 48 new shops and restaurants to improve their airport experience. The retail and dining space has doubled in size and now features new high end and high street brands, including Chanel, Oliver Bonas and much more.

Later this year, Luton Airport is set to launch a second executive lounge, which will offer passengers a new and luxurious space to relax ahead of their journey.
